Heading South from the Cultural Triangle, we headed to Adam's Peak.  Visited by thousands & thousands of Buddhist pilgrims, the climb to the 7,359-foot peak took over 5000 steps (and a few days of paying for it!)

We then had a very exciting safari at Yala National Park through Leopard Safaris.  More detailed photo story to follow...  From there, we headed further south to the coast - ate, explored, surfed, and basked in the sunshine in the beaches of Tangalle, Mirissa, Weligama and Unawatuna.

En route back to Colombo, another must-see is the Galle Fort.  Another UNESCO world heritage site, this old town was founded by the Portuguese in the 16th century.

Like any other travel adventure, there's always so much to see.  I was very happy to experience and photograph these Sri Lankan sunrise, sunsets and sites...
